It was not explained to me prior to my appointment that my insurance only covers my exam every other year. I was shocked to have to pay $320 for my appointment and was not expecting that kind of expense. At that point I had already been examined and couldn't not pay. If I had known of this prior, I would have rescheduled or canceled on the spot and ordered my contacts elsewhere.
